Northwest
Seaplanes operates a fleet of five Dehavilland Beavers.
-
The
Dehavilland Beaver was designed in the 1940's as a
tough bush plane to haul passengers and supplies in
and out of remote places in some of the most extreme
conditions. Originally configure with the 450
horsepower Pratt & Whitney R985 radial engine, the
Beaver is known as one of the most dependable
floatplanes to this day. Over 50 years later, and
nothing has been designed to replace the Beaver.
-
Our
Dehavilland Beavers are some of the finest maintained
aircraft operated in the industry. These pristine
vintage aircraft are modestly configured to seat six
passengers and a pilot. Each Northwest Seaplanes
Beaver is equipped with an intercom system for
passenger comfort.
-
Each
passenger is equipped with a David Clark H10-30
headset that allows them to communicate with the
fellow passengers and the pilot with ease over the
noise of the radial engine.
