Hakai Lodge is a rustic Fly-in and Boat-in Floating Fishing Lodge tucked away in a remote and secluded cove off of Hecate Island.
The only way in on out is by Seaplane or Boat. There are no roads. You're in a vast, endless coastal wilderness.
You're fishing some of the richest fishing grounds on the British Columbia Coast called Hakai Pass.

  • Hakai Lodge was established in 1974.  We were landing fish long before this area was recognized as the world's undisputed hot spot for trophy salmon.

  • Since Hakai Pass has a long steady season (June 10 - Sept. 10) a trip can be planned around your schedule any time during the summer months.

  • The giant Chinook Salmon, 20-80 lbs., run throughout the season, while the feisty Northern Coho (up to 24 lbs.) are at their peak during August & September.

  • Fishing for halibut, red snapper, sea bass, lingcod and rock fish is so easy we hardly mention it - it's just taken for granted.

  • Your catch is cleaned, packed, marked with your name and promptly frozen.  We load the catch on your plane for the return trip to Seattle.  Each flight is met by a representative of a Custom Cannery.  For an additional charge, they will can, smoke and/or repack your fish to be shipped as baggage anywhere in the world.
